Now you know my face, let me introduce myself :

My chinese name is DU Lu Feng. I was born on March 15, 2004 in the province from Jiangxi in China. I have been admit in the Duchang Social Welfare Institute on March 29, 2004. My height at that time was 51 cm, my weight was 4 kg.

Last July 7, 2005, my heigt was 78 cm, I weighed 10,5 kg and I had already 10 teeth!

I am rather active, I like moving, imitating, listening music, playing with toys, pictures’ book, laughing, and according to statements’ of the nannies, I have fast reactions. And as nobody is perfect, I am sometimes obstinate….

I have an excellent appetite, I fall asleep by sucking my inch.

Yesterday evening, Christophe sent a super mail awaited by my parents.
He explains to them that he called Amarna.
They finally received the procedure concerning the transitional measures.
Here is an extract of his mail:

They received the documents to be filled in and to be transmitted the court of the youth of our district.
This one will be used to obtain the authorization to adopt from the judge.
The decision will be based on the psychosocial investigation/file made by Amarna.
There are still some small details to finalize, but as of Monday, Amarna will send these documents with the procedure to be followed to us.
Once we will give the documents to the court, we have to request for a receipt which we will give in Amarna.
This receipt will be used by us as proof and Amarna will send it to the federal central authority in order to obtain a provisional authorization to adopt. Thids is only to prevent any delay in case of the official document is not delivered in time….
In the worst case, we could use the receipt in China to adopt provisional.
To finish on an excellent news; no more doubts, our daughters will be Belgian when we will leave China.
The director of Amarna thinks that our stay will be lengthened 3 days at most.

My parents are relieved on this subject. Thanks to Christophe, they could go to sleep reassured: A huge huge THANK YOU Christophe…. 🙂

Yesterday my parents met again the other couples which will leave soon with them to China.
Martine and Frederic had proposed a good Italian restaurant : Don Antonio at Jambes (close to Namur)… The personnel is there really very kind.
This time, Adilia and Antoine were with us, which enabled them to be integrated into the group.
Maud and Christophe were already present when my parents arrived… And yes…. for once they were not the first…;-). Then followed of Martine, Frederic, Maria and Franco, Adilia and Antoine and finally Bénédicte.
Maria and Franco had several contacts with people who had adopted in China… in general people are very open to the dialogue and share easily and friendly their experiences.
Maud and Christophe explained their meeting with Linne and her parents (Marina and Patrick)… They are really brilliant people who gave them lots of tricks for the travel in China.
Maud will forward to us a small summary of all Marina’ advices.
Mom awaits it impatiently… in order to envisage and to organize lots of things in advance… this will reassures her…
Of course each one discussed the preparations, the books (read or not read), Travel organization, waiting time, hopes and fears…
Of course one of the most tackled subject was the new belgian adoption law and its transitional measures… This law is very good but the transitional measures are too vague, not ready and looks very confusing. As soon as it is a actual information is available, a new post will be published.
The cohabitation during few weeks should be without problem. According to my parents, this is a desire of support and share coming from each one of the group…
The next meeting should take place at Amarna Office for the preparation to the travel…

All are awaiting the end of the month for finally receiving our news…
